It is important to be aware of your local regulations regarding electrical repairs.
In many communities, there are limitations on the work an unlicensed person may do… even the owner of the home. There are also distinctions made between what an unlicensed homeowner can do and what an unqualified tradesman can do.
There are also distinctions made within kinds of electrical work. Appliance installation, for example, is often not considered banned energoprojects if the conventional wiring and connection was made by a authorised specialist.

That is why there is an electrical code, so everybody is clear on the right and incorrect path to perform an electrical wiring and installation. If every household was wired according to a random standard, how could anyone without paranormal abilities discover how to troubleshoot a circuit?
We are not trying to prevent everyone from educating and enriching your skills. We wouldn’t have little chance of doing it, anycase. But you should know by now that we are a strong advocate of independence and self-reliance. But if one person destroyed his house down because he thought that he could do that electrical job, and was not sufficiently OK to do the job|task right… well, that is not what we had in mind when started this energoproject. We have seen some electrical wiring disasters throughout Russia, and major share|most were done by homeowners who thought that performing electrical wiring|work was no more deserving of care than sweeping the backyard!
